PirateMap is a guide to the world of streaming, torrent, direct download, forum and VPN sites. We test them, rate them and keep track of which ones are still online, so you don’t have to find out the hard way – through fake copies, malware or sites that disappeared months ago.
What we do
- Hands-on reviews: every site is used and tested before it gets a score. We look at the content, how easy the site is to use, its speed and reliability, and how many ads, popups and fake buttons it throws at you.
- Clear scores: each review has an overall score out of 10 and separate scores for content, usability, speed and safety, plus pros and cons.
- Live status: our system checks the sites automatically and shows whether they are up, unstable or offline, together with their known mirrors.
- Alternatives: when a site goes down, every review links to a ranked list of similar sites that still work.
Meet the Captain
Our mascot is the Captain, a pirate cat who has sailed every corner of the web. He is the face of the map, but the work behind it is done by a small team of people who use these sites every day.
What we don’t do
PirateMap does not host, upload or link to any copyrighted file. We only review publicly accessible websites and link to their home pages. We don’t control the sites we review and we are not responsible for their content. Read our disclaimer for the details.
Independence
Our scores reflect our own tests. Sites cannot pay to change their score or their position in the rankings. For transparency: the direct download index Warez-DB is run by the same team as PirateMap, and its review says so clearly.
