Copyright & Removal Requests

PirateMap respects the rights of copyright holders and responds to every valid request.

What PirateMap contains

PirateMap publishes reviews, scores and status information about publicly accessible websites. We do not host, upload, store or distribute copyrighted files, and we do not link to individual files, torrents, streams or download pages. Our outbound links point only to the home pages of the websites we review.

This means that we cannot remove content that is hosted on other websites. If your work is available on a site we review, please contact that site or its hosting provider directly.

How to send a removal request

If you believe that content published on PirateMap itself infringes your rights, send us a request through the removal form including:

  • your name and contact details, and the rights holder you represent, if any;
  • the exact address of the page on PirateMap you are referring to;
  • a description of the protected work and of how it is infringed;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in your request is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on its behalf.

We review every complete request and normally reply within a few working days. Incomplete or automated requests that do not identify a specific page on PirateMap may not be processed.

Site owners

If you run a website reviewed on PirateMap and want to correct information, report a new domain or ask for your site to be removed, use the same form and tell us which site you represent.

Our own content
